Multiple Choice (MCQ) 50% 60 60 questions in 90 minutes
Free Response (FRQ) 50% 46 7 questions (3 long, 4 short) in 105 minutes

How This AP Chemistry Score Estimator Works

This calculator uses a weighted model to estimate your AP Chemistry score:

  1. MCQ contribution: (Correct answers / 60) x 50 = MCQ composite points
  2. FRQ contribution: (FRQ points / 46) x 50 = FRQ composite points
  3. Total composite: MCQ contribution + FRQ contribution (out of 100)
  4. Score mapping: The composite is compared against estimated thresholds to determine your 1-5 AP score range.

Both sections are weighted equally at 50% each.
